Course Content
Audiences are moving from searching for written documentation to watching YouTube videos to see how things are done. In order to stay relevant, technical communicators will have to expand their skills to include video creation skills.
The course covers the process and techniques of how to go about creating video help content. This includes the following fundamentals:

Prerequisites
- Experience: No prior experience required
- Hardware: Participants need a laptop that allows installation of video editing software such as Camtasia.
Evaluation
Participants will make a short engaging video no longer than 40 seconds which will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Clear introduction
- Usefulness of core content
- Engagement
- Conclusion and call to action
Certification Requirements
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from STC India based on the following criteria:
- 100% attendance
- 70% score in the objective test conducted at the end of the course
- Completing the video assignment, peer review, and updates based on the review
Trainer Profile
Chaitanya has been working as a technical communicator since 2004. He has also been pursuing photography and short filmmaking as weekend hobbies. In early 2016, he became one of the first technical communicators in his team in Veritas to work on video help. He now works in BMC Software, training and mentoring team members for video and infographics.
