Dear All,
Greetings from Team STC India!
After taking charge in April 2021, the Admin Council, along with an extended team, is looking at ways to go beyond our current practices and add more value. We strongly believe that keeping the community at the center of everything we do is the best way forward. As a 20-year-old learning organization dedicated to developing the technical communication community in India, we need to learn and evolve in today’s changing landscape.
The last two years feel like a scene from a science fiction movie. It brought challenges and opportunities. STC India was quick to adapt and take on the changing circumstances. We hosted our annual conference in December 2020 as the first virtual conference in our 22-year history. Given the reach of the online platform, we took the opportunity to reach out to the global community and were able to host speakers and attendees from across the world.
Inspired by the success of the annual conference, we decided to continue our learning initiative by collaborating with some of the great minds from the local and global community. Learning and upskilling will be the organization’s focus this year. Tools, processes, best practices, career progression, certifications, research projects, and much more. Please stay tuned for detailed communication from our Learning Manager on the various learning initiatives for the year, including weekly/monthly learning
sessions, and three conferences this year with distinct flavours.

STC India Website
It’s time that our website has a new look and facilitates more engagements with you. The new website is ready, and we will continue to build further to make sure you get something new every time you come back to the site and find all the relevant information related to the community.
Indus – The STC India Newsletter
We have moved away from PDF in our documentation. All the more reason why our newsletter is now fully in HTML going forward. Please go through the freshly baked articles and let us know what else you would like to read in this space. We also need active contributions from you through blogs, articles, and other ideas on variety of useful topics. Please send your contributions to indus@stc-india.org.
Community Interaction
With a social-first approach, our communications team is working on a strategy to better interact and engage with you and put you in the driving seat.
Call for Action
We can achieve our goals only with support from each one of you in the community. Please look out for our periodic call for volunteers.
Every transformational change needs great ideas and more importantly the required effort to execute them. We believe that we have taken the first step towards a more vibrant future and need to sustain the momentum with each passing year. We will not succeed without the whole-hearted participation from the members of the ever-expanding community we call STC India!
