About the STC-India Library

This library is an initiative of the India chapter of the Society of Technical Communication (STC). The goal of the library is provide practitioners and students of technical communication in India access to popular books on technical communication. Such books are expensive and often need to be purchased from abroad. By investing in the library, the India chapter of the STC intends to benefit STC members in India as well the technical communication community in general.

If you are a member of the STC, library membership is free for you. To become a library member, simply submit the membership application.

You can become a member of the library even if you are not an STC member, but for a small one-time fee. For information about enrolling as a library member, see the library guidelines.

The library is funded by STC India.

STC India is grateful to the following individuals and organizations who have contributed to the library.

  • Scriptorium Publishing (donated 15 books; see Catalog)
  • Abigail Samuels (donated 3 books; see Catalog)
  • Uday Chava (donated 1 book; see Catalog)
  • Technowrites Pvt. Ltd. (volunteer librarian for the Pune library)
  • Francisco Abedrabbo, VP, Information Development, Oracle (helped STC India save money by shipping the library books sourced from overseas vendors.)

The books that the libary has received as donations are marked in the Catalog. If you would like to donate to the library or if you have any suggestions to improve the operations of the library, please write to Kumar Dhanagopal .
