STC India Chapter Officers and Volunteers Responsibilities

| Communications Manager (erstwhile PR Manager) | Work with media, blog on STC India activities, and identify external communication opportunities. | |
| Competitions Manager | Identify judges, conduct annual technical communication competitions on technical writing, online communication, and technical illustration. Experience in technical communication will help in making the call on awards. | |
| Education Manager | a. Organise talks in colleges/universities on technical writing to get students interested in the profession
b. Setup taskforces with volunteers for different cities; or in areas such as defining curricula, setting up technical writing courses/certificate programs: creating course material, identifying and coordinating with instructors |

| Employment Manager | Conduct employment fairs in different cities working closely with the city reps, assist in conducting technical writing salary surveys. | |
| Mentorship Manager | Conducts the mentorship program twice in a year. Responsible for providing ongoing support, advice and career director to participants. The mentorship manager allow mentors and mentees to select each other. | |
| Membership Manager | a. Evangelize about STC membership benefits. Get many people roped in to become STC members.
b. Conduct road shows, send out e-mails etc to get people interested in joining STC c. Maintain the member database for STC India chapter. Send out welcome e-mail messages to new and renewing members. d. Maintain the STC India mailing list |

| Scholarship Manager | Identify suitable candidates from colleges and universities for awarding scholarship. Work closely with Education Manager. | |
| City Representatives | Conduct monthly learning sessions, regional conferences, and assist admin council/management committee on city-specific matters. Need to be based in that city.

All such suggestions will be reviewed by the Council. |

| Webmaster | Person responsible for managing and maintaining the STC India portal (http://stc-india.in) and so on. Expertise in HTML language and Wordpress publishing platform are desired. |
