STC India Conference

The 4th Annual Conference of the India chapter of STC will held through December 13-14, 2002 at The Leela Palace, Bangalore. The theme of the conference is "Wearing Many Hats: Different Roles for Technical Communicators." Details will be soon available at www.stc-india.org.

 

STC Region 6 Conference

The 12th Annual STC Region 6 Conference, titled ‘"Gateway to Your Future" will be held Sunday, October 13, 2002, through Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at St. Louis. the conference is hosted this year by the St. Louis Chapter. Besides an opportunity for discussion of issues relating to communication, the Region 6 Conference further promotes reflection on where we've been and where we're going, as well as offering a chance to interact with colleagues and have fun! STC Region 5 Conference

STC Region 5 Conference is at the Hilton Inn Northwest in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The theme is "Geared for Success on Route 66," and Oklahomans will greet attendees with a "Fifties" theme at their welcome reception. 

 

Learning Opportunities  

Meeting in Pune

The India chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) is pleased to announce a learning session for technical communicators on Saturday, October 5, 2002 in Pune. The meet will include a session by Suvarna Inamdar on the importance of quality in technical writing. She will also give suggestions on how to embed and regulate quality in documentation.

The meet will also feature a talk by Sunil Gokhale on script writing for the audio-visual media, especially in the areas of fiction writing and education programmes.

Online Technical Communication Course
