New Scholarship Manager

Geetha Nazare is our new scholarship manager. Geetha works as an Information Products Manager at Sun Microsystems India. Previously, she worked with Texas Instruments India as a Documentation Manager. She has over 13 years of experience in the technical writing and publishing industry.

New Competitions Manager

Avinash Akshay will manage all STC India competitions this year. Avinash is a technical writer at Pivotal Corporation. During his five-year career in technical writing, Avinash has been involved in various initiatives, including running the Debate Column for Indus, STC India's e-zine. He has also conducted a university course on Technical Writing at Mount Carmel College, as guest faculty.

Joint Activity with Anna University

STC India is collaborating with the Anna University, Chennai on a communications seminar for about 350 engineering students of the university. In this program, the professors at the university are focusing on improving the communication skills of the students.

Dr.Gopal and Dr.Subramaniam—professors who are coordinating this seminar—were in Bangalore in June to discuss STC India's involvement in this event.
