Worth Lookmarking
Hello,
Your recent article on 'The Word Spy' in the March-April
issue of Indus is good. For some reason, I have always been
interested in the derivation of words, and fascinated by the process used
in coining new words, so your review of this website was very welcome. As
you suggested, I have 'must-lookmarked' this site, and will visit it and
the Indus site often.
Thanks

Useful Webreview
Hello,
The article is very informative and useful. Meghashri has
given some very
good pointers.

Total Recall
Dear editors,
I thoroughly enjoyed the article, Task Analysis - An Information
Architecture Model, from the Mar-Apr 2005 issue of Indus. I suppose some
of that can be attributed to the fact that I used to be a curriculum
developer in a previous life. And I must confess that the article
brought back fond memories: fierce verbal duels (in the right spirit, of
course) with colleagues when deciding which instructional design strategy
to adopt. Of course, I do realize that in her article, Maya Hoizal, was
referring to Task Analysis in the context of Information Architecture. But
that didn't stop me from encountering a phenomenon that gained more
currency, courtesy Arnold Schwarzenegger: Total Recall. :)
I do want to add though that Task Analysis as a strategy is not the
exclusive preserve of Information Architecture or Instructional Design. It
can be applied to any field that requires a detailed study and
breakdown of a macro activity into clear, well-defined bit-sized chunks.
Looking at it another way, Task Analysis cuts right through the fog.
Thanks for the article indeed.
