India-Boston Mentoring Program
Our chapter and the STC Boston chapter have signed up for a mentoring
relationship. This initiative is an integral part of our core mentoring
program, which will be announced shortly.
Currently, the mentoring
program team has three members: Vasudha
Rangarajan from EMC, Venkat Iyer (Education manager), and Gururaj B.S.
The focus of the mentoring
will be on:
- Advanced technical communication topics
- How to run a chapter - sharing best practices and processes
Goals of the India-Boston
mentoring program:
- Foster STC's international growth by supporting the
India chapter as it establishes itself.
- Contribute to advancing the state of the art of technical
communication by sharing expertise on advanced topics, such as single-sourcing,
internationalization, etc.
- Stimulate the STC-Boston and India chapters' leadership
to closely examine their current practices as part of the process of
sharing best practices and information between the two chapters.
- Document a case study of an international mentoring
relationship.
