1) 9:30-10:15 a.m.

Title: Demystifying API Documentation

Presenters: Muthuramalingam S and Bharathan  Jeyapal

API documentation is often considered cumbersome and challenging. In this session, we will clear the fog around API documentation and provide you with an insight into the world of API and SDK. We will walk you through the processes, guidelines, tools, and deliverables for API documentation. We will also throw light on REST APIs and designing REST API documentation.

2) 10: 15- 11:00 a.m.

Title: Big Data and Cloud: How ready is the writer in you?

Presenters: Rajesh Sivanarayanan and Suraj Jayan

The session briefly describes the concepts of big data and cloud-based deployments for data integration. The session also throws light into how you must think, plan, write, and publish differently from the conventional methods when writing for these domains and implementation models.

11:00- 11:30 a.m.– Networking break

3)  11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Title: Writing Right

Presenter: Navin Mathew

Summary:
Our dependence on tools and technology has allowed us to deliver high-quality, finely-finished documents. But does it frustrate you when you are asked to rewrite content for brevity and clarity?
Have you been marked down for not having the fluency that ‘native English speakers’ have?Writing Right will give you a few pointers in the right direction and is intended as a refresher for anyone who studied the language at school/university.

Profile: Navin has worked as a technical writer with companies like Thomson Reuters and Symphony Services and is a huge lover of the English language. He aspires to be a ‘One-book-wonder’ whose semi-autobiographical book will be feted and critiqued long after he is gone.

He has a political/social satire blog that is rated in the Top 20 in India and attracts readers from around the world.

A former toastmaster, he loves gardening, watching reruns of Simpsons and cycling long distances and stopping to smell (and take pictures) of the roses and the mountains.
