About the Sessions

.

1. In search of an Elusive User’s Happiness
.

I am in search of happiness, not my own alone, but that of the user of our products, that elusive user, whom I have never met, never interacted with.

The end user, or the actual consumer of our product/application/tool or service, is rarely, if ever, the one who can tell us exactly what he or she wants, and how. This session explains how best to write, to structure your content, manage it efficiently and deliver or present it such, that irrespective of who the end user is, you effectively cater to just about anyone, and bring in happiness, also commonly called Customer Delight in our world.

Key Learning Objectives

  • Learn to write for an undefined, global audience
  • Contain all relevant documentation suitably for easy update as well as access
  • Innovate, incorporate, inspire – your audience deserves the best, always!
.

2. ReadCube by Makarand Pandit, Technowrites (Pune)

  • What is ReadCube?
  • How is it used?
  • Demo of using ReadCube
  • How could the idea be useful to Technical Writers?
  • Suggested activities for further reading

.

 3. Estimating Documentation Projects, by Makarand Pandit, Technowrites (Pune)

  • Outline based estimation
  • Concept of Rich Content Outline
  • Activity-based Matrix Estimation
  • Technowrites Estimator for Software Estimation
