I am pleased to announce that the registrations for the 13th annual conference of the STC India chapter are now open.

This year’s agenda has been created with high precision, taking into account the feedback we received in the past STC India conferences. Our judges have painstakingly chosen those papers that shows the promise to serve your various knowledge needs effectively. No surprise, this year’s agenda covers topics that have never or rarely been presented in the past STC India conferences.

If you have not seen the conference agenda yet, check out: http://www.stc-india.org/conferences/2011/?page_id=2 . You can also refer to the agenda in the attachment to this email.

For the registration process :

A) At your desk, you can fill out the interactive registration form
and submit it *online*.  No need to print out the form and
courier it to us!

**To complete and submit the registration form, use
the link:  http://www.stc-india.org/conferences/2011/?page_id=6.

B) You can pay your conference fees online. Only HDFC and ICICI bank customers can avail this facility.  We recommend this strongly. Our banking details are given at the end of the registartion form page. Do quote the transaction no. and date of remitance for us to cross- check.

C) Please do not forget to quote write a crossed check or DD, visit your nearest ICICI bank branch (yes, anywhere in India) and drop it in their check- or cheque-deposit box. Of course, you can courier your check or DD to us (STC India coordinator – details on the form).  However, note that the  last option is expensive (fee + courier charges).  If the cheque or DD is an outstation cheque, Rs. 50/- should be added to the registration amount. However, this is not applicable if the Cheque is an “at par” Cheque (“Payable at branches all over India”, the exact lines might change). Anyway, we will leave it to you.

You choose what works for you.  The registration form is mandatory even if you are a presenter, corporate sponsor, or STC India volunteer.

C)  Like always there is something nice stored for you if you are an STC India member. As an STC India member, you  must pay 1000 INR for  the preconference workshops (DECEMBER 1) * and nothing for the main conference days on (DECEMBER 2 and 3). Do not forget to mention your India Chapter Membership No. on the form.

For all other participants, *  the registration fee for preconference workshops is 1000 INR, and  the fee  for the main conference is 2500 INR. If you register for the main conference only, you cannot attend the preconference workshops.  Similarly, if you  register for the preconference workshops, you should  register for the main conference separately (in the same form, but pay a higher amount).

If you are attending all the 3 days (Dec 1, 2 & 3), you must pay 3000 INR instead of 3500 INR as conference fee, clearly saving 500 INR.

Group registrations fee( for 3 or more delegates from the same company) is Rs.1500 per individual for the main conference days. No discount  on the preconference workshop fee is applicable for group registrations.
Conference Presenters have a free registration only for the main conference days.

D) If you are interested in attending the preconference workshops, you should pick any one of the options (General, Knowledge Stream for Writers and Open Up)  when filling out the form.  All the workshops will be held at The Hotel Hilton.

Most importantly, for the Tools workshops (Author-it and Adobe workshops), we can accommodate 40 participants.  After submitting the form, you cannot change your option.  The Tools workshops are hands-on sessions with computers, so we are planning the logistics requirements accordingly.

E) After you submit the registration form, you will receive a confirmation from Saravanan Manoharan, who is coordinating registrations this year. Your registration is considered valid only if you have a confirmation mail. Any payment is subject to realization of your check or DD. Receipts  for payment will be issued online on the conference days. If there are any issues with this, contact the registration coordinator.

F) If you have any questions about the registration process, payment realization or email confirmation write to Saravanan Manoharan (treasurer@stc-india.org).

G) The conference registration opens today and closes by November 20.

Hope you find this registration process and information useful. Please write back to me if you have any questions.

Regards,
The Program Management Team,
STC India Chapter
