Additional Details

You will create and revise curriculum and build training environments to be used to train Oracle employees, system integrators, and customers on the Oracle communications products. You will deliver training to internal Oracle audiences and system integrators. Extensive knowledge of and experience in the telecommunications network services layer middleware, application servers, and Java programming knowledge is a must. In addition, excellent curriculum development, training, and research skills, and the flexibility to manage changing deadlines and priorities are essential. You must have proven ability to meet deadlines, exercise good judgment to resolve problems, and create high-quality work.

Qualifications and experience:

  • ·Possess college degree in a related field such as Instructional Design, Technical Communications, English, or Computer Science.
  • Four years experience in developing curriculum and delivering training.
  • Excellent instructional design skills.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts.
  • Ability to procure or develop real-world examples for complex product features.
  • Ability to present highly technical subjects in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to follow established standards and styles.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative group setting.
  • Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously and under time constraints.
  • Ability to manage shifting deadlines and the trade-offs required to meet them.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Experience developing curriculum for audiences such as end users, system administrators, and developers.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, protocols, and services
  • Experience with:
  • Solaris and Unix
    • Oracle database
    • Telecommunication protocols such as SS7 and services such as GSM, GPRS
    • IN
    • Billing systems (pre/post paid)
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of deploying and configuring software on Unix systems (one or more of Oracle Enterprise Linux, Sun Solaris, HP-UX, IBM AIX), creating and configuring users.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle Database on a UNIX environment including installation, configuration, creating tablespaces, and basic administration.
