The STC India User Research and Usability SIG is pleased to announce two
sessions on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Cisco Systems India Pvt. Ltd.,
Divyashree Chambers, Bangalore.
1) Usability – The Art of Writing by Mohan Krishnaraj, Wipro
2) Usability Testing by Rajdeep Gupta

Mohan’s session explains a deeper meaning of how to design for user
experience and how users can perceive information and visual communication.
As designers and technical writers, it is important from a usability
perspective to address positive and negative emotions to improve user
perceptions.

Rajdeep’s session focuses on the basics of usability, the usability testing
process, and techniques followed for performing usability tests for UI and
documents.

The last date for registration is June 10, 2010. This session is free for
STC and non-STC members. However, registration is mandatory. To confirm your
registration, please send an email to Arun Martin (arun.martin@gmail.com).
Your participation is confirmed when you receive a response from Arun.

IMPORTANT – To ensure higher security of all the delegates, Cisco mandates
that you bring your identity card and the online confirmation letter.

Mohan Krishnaraj, currently heading the User Experience Group at Wipro
Technologies has over 16 years of experience in Human Factors and Usability
and is a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) from Human Factors International
(HFI). His background as a principal usability consultant has helped him to
drive innovative solutions and methodologies that address major usability
issues across industries. He is also an active member of many usability
communities and has always been a driving force in the space of user/emotion
centered design. Recognized as a “Thought Leader” by clients in multiple
industries, Mohan has played key role in establishing new business
initiatives for Wipro. He joined as a part of leadership team in building a
strong User Experience Practice at Wipro in providing transformation
solutions to clients across industries.

Rajdeep is a writer and is presently the
Vice-President of the STC India Chapter.
