Job Overview:

• Create and modify technical documentation for a variety of telecom/storage/software/semiconductor/aerospace products
• Review and edit technical documents
• Work independently with a globally distributed development team
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of professional documentation, templates and style guides as per standards
• Format and structure technical documents like software product descriptions, release notes, and design documents

Requirements:

• Technical writers experienced in any technical (telecom/semiconductor/storage/software/aerospace) domain
• Excellent writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Knowledge and proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker, MS-Office applications, HTML, XML
• Self-motivated and flexible
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the software and technical publications teams
• Should have passion for excellence and quality
• Patience and strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Professional experience of 2-5 years in technical writing for technical products, preferably in one major domain
• Engineering degree, or an equivalent technical qualification would be preferred
• Knowledge of and experience in modular documentation and XML would be an added advantage
• Experience in developing server documentation, API guides, application notes and datasheets, and highly technical documents would be preferred
