Corporate Communications in 24 hours!

Yes…literally….this course, spread over 12 sessions of two hours each, covers the fundamentals of what goes into running the corporate and marketing communications function in a technology environment. The course is aimed at those who intend to pursue a career, either full time or part time, in corporate and marketing communications or who are interested in the discipline.

If you want to attend this course, you should have a reasonably good command over the English language, understand the workings of a technology company and above all have a positive attitude to life and a career!

The course is being facilitated by Peter Yorke and Tharun Unni who have combined experience of more than 40 years in the software industry in India working for multinationals and local companies alike. Peter was recently Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Oracle Financial Services (earlier i-flex solutions) and Tharun was Manager Technical Publications at FaceTime.

Finally, this course is a practical oriented, hands-on course. So be prepared to deliberate, discuss and do lots of small (and sometimes creative) assignments.

Course Venue: CDC Software, UB City, Vittal Mallya road, Bangalore

Dates: March 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 and April 6, 7, 12, 14 (Dates subject to change with prior notice)

Time: 9 am to 11 am

The course fees are as follows:

  • STC members: Rs.2000/-
  • Other participants: Rs.3000/-

The STC India chapter will provide you a receipt which you can use to claim the reimbursement from your company – if your course is company sponsored.

You will need to make a payment by cheque in favor of “India Chapter STC” or you can also make an online payment to our ICICI bank account (details to follow later), once I confirm your seat availability. However, your seat will be completely confirmed only after we receive your payment.

Please fill in the attached form Corporate Communications in 24 hours form and send it to michelleanncherian@gmail.com by 3 rd March 2010, leaving no field blank.

Please also note that the class size is a maximum of 15, and so if you decide to attend, your attendance has to be regular. There will be a penalty for missing classes!

Do send in your forms soon, its a very small class and will fill up soon. Note that cheques should be in favor of “India Chapter STC” and the address that you can send it to is:

Michelle Cherian
Cisco Systems,
Cessna Business Park,
Kadabeesanahalli Village,
Varthur Hobli,
Sarjapur – Marathahalli Outer Ring Road,
Bangalore 560087.

Regards,
Michelle
