1st STC India Summit on May 7-8, Bangalore

Google Buzz

Hello everyone!

I am pleased to announce that the STC India Chapter is hosting the 1st STC India Summit on May 7 -8 in Bangalore. The theme of the event is “Collaboration and reaching beyond your profession – How STC India can Empower your knowledge & Drive Technical Communication”. The event is aimed at all technical communicators, prospective technical communicators, partners, consultants, user experience professionals, instructional designers, corporate communicators, translators and localization professionals, technical writing instructors and so on. We are looking at attracting about 350-400 delegates for this 2-day event. We plan to conduct 35 sessions, 3-4 workshops, 2 tech communication debate, 3-4 video conferences, 1 panel discussion, 1 unconference session, 1 technical communication quiz and organize a partner and solution zone to showcase all your products from both technical communication.

There are 5 key objectives for this summit:
* Provide a forum for interdisciplinary technical writing information exchange.
* Develop and distribute more conference proceedings to our Indian technical communicators other than our regular annual conferences.
*Partner with various non-profitable and voluntary groups aimed to spread technical communication in the world.
*Collaborate and promote Indian technical writers in a global platform.
*Provide companies a forum to exhibit their products in Bangalore.

How different is it from the STC India Annual Conferences? We would not like to harm the momentum and much-valued STC India Annual conferences that we have organize every year. To start with, this summit will not have any keynote address or cultural evening. It will be a fast-paced event with workshops, sessions, debates and so on.

Venue: The Chancery Pavilion,
(Opp.to the Bangalore Club)
# 135, Residency Road,
BANGALORE – 560025
